  I currently live at Essex Square Apartment in Northport, AL. please do not move to this properties. Per my experience I am not in agreement with new management. From experience(which you can see below) management has not been very respectful towards my family . Per my experience only: they do not build good relationship with tenants. I would advise looking at other apartments and stay away from Essex Square. I have lived at Essex Square for 3 years the first 2 years I had a great experience. I have also always paid rent on time and never had any major issues. However, this last year with new management has been horrible. The office sends out letters I feel are controversial and disrespect (letters posted) to their tenants. I've also gotten letters charging me for a late charge from 3 months prior, to resolve the issue I had to take off work to provide them with a copy of the check that proves I paid my rent on time. It's hard to handle business with this office because they open at 9 and close at 5pm. Bottom line spare yourself the headache and find some where else to live. Email Below: "Ms. Brown, Most of the information you have posted is inaccurate including my name. I was the resident manager in 1991 and have been the property manager since 1992. In that time hundreds and hundreds of students have lived in Essex Square and have been very happy. The fact that you have lived there 3 years shows that you were happy too. I am sorry that your car was damaged because you drove under the entry gate when it was on the way down after the car in front of you entered the property but it was not management's fault. Management has video evidence proving this. Posting inaccurate information on the internet as a result of this incident could have consequences for you.   Great property managers, it's nice to have another choice besides Sealy in this town. A non-Stalinesque alternative. One that won't purge you from your home of 6 years on a whim.
